Kari’s passion for human movement sciences began in high school and continued through collegiate athletics. She launched her professional journey immediately after graduation by earning a personal training certification through NASM. Determined to deepen her understanding of human kinetics, she enrolled in massage therapy training at Lauterstein-Conway Massage School in Austin, Texas, while simultaneously pursuing an Associate of Science degree with a focus on pre-physical therapy. During her undergraduate studies at Texas State University, Kari worked as both a massage therapist and personal trainer, all while actively participating in a competitive CrossFit gym. Naturally, this led her to refine her massage therapy practice toward injury prevention and recovery in sports massage, where she concentrated her continuing education on targeted disciplines and biomechanics, integrating corrective exercise to support both her own and her clients’ goals for optimal functional movement. Her trainings include:
- Sports Massage
- Pre/post natal
- Active engagement/release
- Neuromuscular Techniques
As a first time mom, she truly understands the physical demands and stressors of motherhood. She has a huge heart and a deep passion for pre and post natal massage for expecting mothers. In her spare time, she is an avid skydiver and gym rat, but she also appreciates the simpler things in life such as spending time with family or getting lost in a book.
